the current SIG takedown lever being shipped by SIG has a revised groove (elongated, more wrap-around) that makes turning the lever a whole lot easier. about $18 for the black one. the elongated groove provides an easier ramp into the takedown safety lever. difference is night and day. no shet.

SO. If this is the status of your P365 in that you cannot remove the Slide hopefully removing the Striker will allow the Slide to slide forward and off of your P365. My 2018 and almost 5,00 rounds P365 did that today when I was putting the Slide on. Slid on the Slide and the Takedown lever popped up into place. No need for worry. If it bothers you just hold it down.. Normal assy has you hold the Takedown Lever down and forward as you slide on the Slide. Just don't let go.

Found out what it was, definitely not the firing pin safety. Sig site says take down safety lever. Loose as hell. When the takedown lever is down, the metal bar is tight, no noise. What I would try first is to pop out the receiver pin at the back and gently try to pull the slide and FCU out of the grip module as a unit. When you fire a mag through your SAS, doesn't the slide lock open after the last round? If so, insert a new mag and release the slide with the slide release lever (or slingshot the slide if that's your preferred method).

When the FCU is out it can slip behind where it belongs, rotating the slide lever won't depress the sear down and the slide jams into it. It's like it's own trigger finger actually pulling the sear down. Unlike the 320 FCU, the P365 is less "user friendly" about having all the parts captured to keep them in place.

Hi Folks, I ran into a strange issue with reassembling my P365 after cleaning it where the internal safety lever was in the up position which prohibited me from locking the slide rearward. I had to manually push down the safety lever so that it allowed the slide to move rearward.
