I think the work much better. When loading new I fired hulls on my 600 set up for 3” hulls, the old style works far better at sitting the initial crimp. Slide the carrier up until the crimp tool contacts the base of the shotshell. Pull the handle of the MEC jr down until the crimp is complete. Remove the shotshell from the MEC jr. As your loader comes from the factory the adjustment should be correct for most shells.
